ugh. ragnarok servers are down, AS USUAL. that's the thing with this online game.. when it's not working, all players cant play..
and that's more than 20,000 of us waiting in vain..

i've been experiencing the real world first hand the past few days.. i had to clarify my UST college aplication and stuff yesterday and unfortunately, the car wasn't available. so ok, i told my parents that i'm taking the bus.. then they make such a big fuss about it like drawing maps and stuff.. hahaha.. it was all good actually, but i was kinda familiar with the place already.. i didn't think that i'd actually use it later.. they also said that i shouldn't go walking on the streets where i'm going. delikado daw. yada yada yada. i love my folks :D but i wish that they would let me be sometimes.
i did tell you that i was kinda familiar with the way to UST, but that was it. KINDA familiar.
i rode a bus from my place, cainta rizal. for those of you who are wondering, it's on the way to antipolo. this bus goes along ortigas avenue meaning, it'll pass by Galleria, greenhills, SM centerpoint, San Juan, all the way to quiapo. kung gusto ko pumuntang megamol or shang, there are FX's. transpo from my place is no problem. :D
the bus ride was fine. i bought a pack of macapuno candies sold by those vendors that come up buses. they were actually good. i buy them all the time. i havent eaten lunch so i gobbled up the whole pack even before arriving at UST. while eating and nearing my destination, i saw familiar sounding schools like PUP, Arellano, and some other schools that were unheard of. ang dami. kaya pala university belt ang tawag. yun. i got off the bus when i saw where alby (
http://www.tabulas.com/~alby) had dropped me off before. that was on my way home before. he dropped me off this corner where the buses pass so one ride home lang ako. galing noh?
this concludes my bus ride.
now, i'm walking. i really didn't know where to go so i asked some jeepney drivers. told me to ride this jeepney going to Lealtad (???) and walk towards UST. so i did. bigla ko natandaan yung sabi ng magulang ko. about this place being dangerous and stuff. pero mukha naman akong di kanais-nais dahil sa suot ko kaya ok lang siguro. di naman ako mukhang hold up victim siguro.. i was wearing my pair of pants na di ko pa pinapalabahan since may pasok pa ako, and yung marumi kong Vans na sneakers. literally madumi. favorite pair ko yun, kahit na mukhang kadiri. originally white yun pero brown na. pantalon ko naman may stain pa ng pintura from my last paintball game. haha :D dugyot 'di ba? so i was pretty confident that i wont get into any trouble. mas matino pa nga itsura ng mga kasabay ko sa dyip eh. haha.. i was supposed to get off some corner but i missed it. i didnt know where the corner was, but i knew it in my gut that i've missed it. i inched my way towards the driver and asked, "pano papuntang UST?"
"ah, sa Forbes (street) yun! lampas na! dun sa traffic light oh!" and i looked back after i said these words.
"CRAP!" i told myself in my mind. i got off, walked back, it was quite a distance now because i hesitated to ask the driver for directions. i walked towards the main intersection thing. the road going there was lined with houses. if the properties were privately owned or squatted on i will never know. bottomline is that they were pretty run down. shanties, that's the word. there were people vending and walking around. i think the road i was in was part of a market area or something. i was lost, but i kind of knew that i was going the right direction. i feel it in my gut.
i was right. it was the right way and somehow i ended up in españa avenue, where UST is! yay! but it IS an avenue. a very long road. and i did not know where on that freaking road is UST. i looked as far as my eyes could see on both directions, left and right, and took another gut feel decision. LEFT. i walked on but to be sure i asked a fruit vendor (made me think of ragnarok /pif) where the university was. she affirmed me and i walked on. she said i was to go beyond the first pedestrian overpass and cross the second one. the second one must've been 500 meters more or less.walk walk walk... and finally, i get into UST.
i called my classmate, kyle, because i know that he was also fixing stuff for his UST application. he was on his way out already and i just came so i just kissed my chance to get a free ride home goodbye. he lives near my subdivision eh.
asked around campus where i have to go.. yada yada.. i finish what i havta do. yada yada..
called up kyle again to see if he was still there.. he was going to galleria. asked me to watch a movie with him.
how to go to galleria... hmm... i asked the security guards :D
i rode an FX going to cubao. wow. UST all the way to edsa. ten bucks. not bad.
was in edsa. contemplated whether to take the MRT or a non-airconditioned bus. if i took the MRT, i'd have to walk coz the station was between Galleria and Megamall. if i took the bus, i'd be dropped of exactly where i want to. or so i thought. it was hella traffic when i neared my destination. buses freaking piling up in the intersection waiting for passengers. so what did i do? walk. naglakad rin. the bus fare was nine bucks. kung nag MRT ako, 10 pesos. aircon pa. naglakad rin ako eh. bwiset. i inhaled all of the buses fumes on the way to Galleria.
went in the mall. met kyle. watched The Passion of The Christ.
one interesting thing about the movie is that they didn't show the title or the actors and all the other people before the movie. this makes the audience more focused on the true character of the movie, Jesus Christ. galing. hats off to the director.
aside from a few side comments in the beggining of the movie, both of us stayed silent. you would too if you watched it. even after the movie everyone was silent while exiting the theater.
sayang hindi pwede driver ni kyle. so bus kami pauwi. he doesn't know how so i teach him. i looked for a ragnarok cd in the mall but i couldnt find one. na reformat kasi pc ko, and it got infected with some virus na ngayun lang naayos. tapos bigla nalang humiret si kyle na, "ano ka ba? meron ako sa bahay eh.." bwiset. 'di naman kasi naglalaro ng ragna yun eh. nakuha lang daw nya sa toy kingdom or something last summer, nung beta testing pa lang ang Ragnarok Online (hereby called "RO" from this point forward).
so uwi kami sa bahay nya. tambay for a while. tapos uwi na ako. yay.
i've gone through manila, edsa, and back all through public transpo. and i didnt even know where i was going most of the time. but that was in manila. once i caught sight of EDSA i knew where i was.
commuting is fun when you're lost :D
