time travel

last october 16, i drove my younger brother to ateneo grade school. he was gonna be a contestant for pagbasa or sumthin and his teacher wanted a practice session. i was to wait for him. so instead of goin out and pigging out again, i opted to stroll around in my alma mater.

there were lots of changes, very obvious changes. there was a cool looking playground in the grade 1 area and the doors and windows had metal mesh, to prevent mosquitoes form coming in. the doors had those auto-close mechanisms on them. during my time, the playground was just dirt, the classrooms dint have windows with screens and the doors were just plain old boring wood. they have aluminum doors now.

grade 2 area was now partly paved where the dirt used to be (I remember making balls of dirt with soil and water there. hehe) and there were tables for eating out too. they had the same doors as the grade 1's but the noticeable thing about the classrooms were the chairs. let's put it this way, they weren't special, but they were something even the AHS students would envy. AGS clearly has better armchairs than the highschool's.

grade 3 was now a 3/4/5 (didnt really count how may floors) storey building. it used to be just 2 rows of classrooms. also, the doorsand windows were screened.

dint see grade 4 coz it was under construction. another building perhaps.

i walked for david hall. coz of grade 4's construction, i had to backtrack to the cafeteria as there was no other possible route to david hall. i saw mr nabas on the way. haha. he was my grade 4 work ed teacher. he recognized me by face, but not by name. hehe.

walked down the long slopey walkway from the cafeteria, swimming pool on the left, library on the right. nothing new there.

came upon rizal park. my batch left this park as a memorabillia to all students.. it's a small park with a life size statue of rizal reading a book on a bench. now, rizal had dilapidated fingers, and the original book which was concrete i think is now metal (someone probably stole it). there was a new addition to the park. a new sculpture about those saints that the grade 7 classes were nemed after.

david hall was still pretty much david hall. not much changes here.

east field. haha. it used to be so magestic when i was in gradeschool. it was like... EAST FIELD before.. now that im all grown up, i look at it and it''s like just a field. plain old boring field. hehe.

i enjoyed that day.

next stop, highschool.

first and last

you are the first person whom i look for in a room full of strangers and the last person whom i think of at night.

could you be my first and last?

though my heart says 'go', i don't think so.

love is a complicated thing.

confusion, it's nothing new.

market and donuts

family went to Market! Market! after church to see what the heck is the fuss about the place. well, parking was insane, there's a ton of people, no place to eat ( we ate at the "market" place area thingy majiggy). i was cussing in my head coz i was soooo darn HUNGRY.

i waited for these elderly people to finish chatting so they could leave and i could reserve a table for my family. even though i was in an asserting position right beside the table as the diners were leaving, some older people tried to take the table away. darn ill-bred people. i just gave them a cold stare. hah. the facial hair probably got to them.

after waiting a century for the food to come and my father to come back from parking, we finally got food and drinks. yay. but, DAMN, the food was darn good. we had crabs and crispy pata and this seaweed side dish thing. "para kang uminom ng dagat.." my sister said. i tasted it and yeah.. haha. the crabs were DELICIOUS. i could not stress enough. though i cut myself while eating, and my cut stings like hell while eating (i was eating with my hands dipping the crispy pata in a toyo+suka mixture and the crabs had this oozy sauce) i still enjoyed eating. it wasnt the most filling meal, but it was really satisfying. really tasty stuff.

about the eating place. it was an area where the restaurants were selling fresh seafood and you buy that and you have them cook the stuff on the spot. you buy stuff then you pay them to cook it for you. fishy business. but it's all good. oh soooooo good.

we went to the mall place. nuthin new, just a mall and a separate tiangge area per floor. each floor has a different theme, like home market, technology market, fashion market, you get the picture.

enough market stuff. time for donuts! we went to gonuts donuts and tried the stuff. yeah it's my first time to taste the darn pastry treats, so sue me. anyway, i was amused at how the stuff was made in an assembly line. coolness. i dont think it's so different from mister donut or dunkin donuts. the thing about gonuts donuts izzat they're made in the store. unlike the latter 2 donut places. dunkin donuts and mister donut have theirs made in factories or whatnot and have them delivered everyday. so when they're finally in the stores, they're kinda firm and aint as fresh as gonut's. they're all good though.
