sembreak!

it's been a while since my last REAL update, and i'm really not feeling like typing everything that happened in detail so i'll try to catch up on you guys with bullet points.

-the last storm was hell. our unit was flooded coz of it. water kept on seeping through the windows. i mopped 3 buckets full of water with a shirt that was lying around. haha.,

-i had to cut my anklets loose. i had to walk in the flood to get food for miro and me. i didn't want that lepto disease getting stuck on my anklets. only one remained, the one that my sis gave me.

-been cramming like CRAZY! sleepless nights, sleepy afternoons, the vampire returns!

-still can't believe this is the first sem that i didn't have FA's (failure due to absences)

-i almost cried when ateneo lost.

-i "performed" in the UST victory party. this singer named sofia needed someone to use the egg shaker and no one wanted to do it, so i did. haha.

-i took advantage of the backstage access and had my picture taken with everyone. haha

-someone thought i was gay.

-someone thought (or wished) i was courting her. huwaaaaaat

-i am enjoying piano and percussion

-i watched some music education students in action in a public school. man, they were good. there were sucky ones though.

-i seriously see myself doing that in the future. i may not be rich, but hey, i'm doing what i love.

and lastly....

-SEMBREAK NA!

torpe? nah

i board the LRT at the katipunan station after disembarking from the jeepney. nakakatamad kasing bumaba sa santolan station and climbing that dreadful flight of stairs to cross the highway. sa katipunan, pababa yung hagdan.

anyway, i ride the LRT and immediately got seated. the train wasn't full. directly in front of me was a girl. she was reading some photocopied material. probably for a test. my commute from katipunan to legarda mainly consisted of adoration of her.

she wore beige sandals/step-ins/slippers/i-dunno-what-the-heck-girls-call-them's with a few torn details. her feet were small, but not unproportioned from her petite build. her legs were slender and shapely, like bamboo swaying in the wind. she wore a flirty white frilly wrinkled skirt which rested just above the knee, not too short to be provocative to the sight nor too long to be left unnoticed. her hips narrowed nicely down to her waist. i've seen better curves, but hers was just right. wrapped around her wrist was a chain of differently shaped and sized white beads, complementing her skirt. on her shoulders rested a deep purple blouse. her hair was roughly shoulder length, parted nicely to reveal her face, a most common one, but most alluring. there was something about her face that made me want to know her name. her whole ensemble was hypnotic. she was not the prettiest girl i've ever seen, but i definitely like what i see.

i start to contemplate whether to approach her or not, for it probably will be the first and last time that we will ever meet. unless.. unless she gives her number. not by a longshot. but, what if? these thoughts race back and forth through my mind for the next couple of stations until Legarda station.

i start to stand up to prepare to exit the train and see that she was fixing her things, putting her literature in her silver purse. "she's going down in this station too," i said in my mind. the ride isn't over. i slowly walk towards the escalator. i was in no hurry. i put my hand on the rubber escalator railing and step on the ridged cascading metal steps and at my peripheral vision, i sense a lavender shade with a great deal of white and silver. my heart was pumping twice as fast as normal and as i glanced to my left it was pumping twice as fast more. it was her riding the escalator, riding the escalator beside me.

should i talk to her? yes. maybe. no. aaargh. before i decide on that, what will i say? i was thinking something like, "this will probably be the first and last time that i will see you, so this will be the first and last time that i will tell you that i find you to be very pretty.. unless you give me your number." NO. too cheap. the escalator steps are running out. they did. there's nothing else to say. all i have is the opportunity to say it. SAY IT. no. we exit through adjacent tollgates.

i walk ahead of her and walk down the stairs. "talk to her."

"no."

it was a classic duel between angel and devil.

i crossed the road, only to find that she did not.

*sigh*

why did mom always say never to talk to strangers?

The Elbow Room

i was The Elbow Room last night with abi. she's friends with mich, PBB housemate/vocalist of Death by Tampon, and we watched the band perform. the theme for the night was the 80's and yeah, everything revolved around that. well, everything the bands were playing that is.

after listening to Death by Tampon and The Dawn play, we were off our separate ways. upon exitting, i could hear Rivermaya playing at the main performance area at Metrowalk. it was Oktoberfest, you see. i love Rivermaya. their songs are timeless. classics. they are one of the definitions of OPM rock. ROCK. RRRROOOOOCCCKK.

while listening to Rivermaya, i catch a glimpse of a girl. she looks soooooo familiar. i know i've met her before but i gotta be sure. i pass her a coupla times and she  noticed me. Gretchen. the beautiful Gretchen. ooh lala. she called me and greeted me. funny thing was, she didn't remember my name. HAHA

i can't believe i'm smittem by her all over again after what, two years since we last met? haha.

i got her number.

cockroach to oblivion!

there was a cockroach. it landed on the monitor. it flew around like MAD. it was busy circling the lightbulb nearby. i reach for a slipper, whose it was i didn't know, and waited for a chance to swat it. i jumped. i swung my arm. i missed. i lack height. hahaha. i jumped. i swung. and i hit it dead center! ahahahaha. the sound of hitting it was great! but i can't see where it went now.

trick or treat!

i just got home from Gino's place. what a tiring day!

started off the day by driving to UST for enrollment. yeah, no breakfast, no brunch, no lunch, no nadda. headed for school at noon to make it there at 1ish. well, that was the plan. i left the house at almost 1230 and arrived at the condo building at 130. not bad, coz they'll only entertain 3rd year students at 2-4 to prevent student congestion. i had lunch at mcdo. a heavy lunch. 5pc nuggets and fries value meal go bigtime with 2 extra rice and extra barbecue sauce. mmmm.

at around 2pm sharp i was at my college's office window asking for my clearance and whatnot. it's a bummer i got closed on a subject. i have to take it next year 2nd sem. how sad. anyhoo, i'm off to payment and after a relatively short waiting time on line, i almost immediately was able to pay already. this was a speedy process as compared to the 3-day enrollment marathon on my previous semesters. by a little past 3pm i was on the road with my music college friends who were on the way to where i was going, ayala heights.

dropped them off and proceeded to gino's. man it was a long time since i've been there. i think last i've been there was during highschool. and funny thing was his parents still recognize me! haha. and george, the driver, was still there! haha. you see, we developed a bond with our classmates' drivers back in highschool. they were the ones we hung out with when things got boring and they were the ones who took us to computer places to play counterstrike after classes. hahaha.

dressed up and went trick or treating! i dressed up as a Matrix Agent and gino went as a "mad chemist." but in my honest opinion, he was just some guy in shorts and a shirt with a chemistry class apron on. hahaha! i wore my gray suit, a white shirt, black pants and shoes, shades, earpiece, and my hair styled with gel. i borrowed a toy pistol from Gino. i think i did a good job on the costume except that i got the right responses from the wrong demographic. LOL. i was hit on by two moms. LOLOLOLOL

MJ, burns, and RJ soon followed and we were a pentateuch of masqueraders. RJ was a fairy, MJ was a construction worker, and burns was a mercedes benz race char mechanic. haha. trick or treating commenced and we fell in line for that haunted house thing. not that scary really. then more houses. we did this all on foot. you have to understand that at Ayala Heights, it's a hilly place. lotsa ups and downs and it can take a lot from walking guys. ESPECIALLY on walking guys wearing suits. LOL

by around 9pm we were on our way to Gino's car to go back to his place. it was his dad's birthday party so there was a lot of food. as usual, i ate the slowest and as they were waiting for me to finish we reminisced about highschool. again. we always do. it was the wonder years. hehehe. from that time when i exclaimed how smelly John was to our senior retreat from hell. hahaha. those were fun times. not really, but hella memorable.

after finally finishing eating my food, we went up to Gino's room and chilled. enjoyed some candy. they played football on the ps2. everything was steady until mom texted me where i was.

after the second game, we left Gino's. took mj, rj, and burns to burns' place and eventually here. home sweet home.

i dunno what to do with all this junk food (they made me bring home ALL the treats we got) so if you guys want anything, tell me. i might have it.
