against the flow

everything's beautifully amiss. school's becoming a real drag. you see, i'm a guy who treats everyday like a summer day.

you must have an idea of how i feel already.

ok, so i invited people to play and sing with me for praise and worship on saturday links. and guess what, only Janny confirmed. everybody else declined! unbelievable. but that's ok. i thought that Janny and i could pull this off. acoustic worship. sounds like a plan!

we practiced and admittedly, i think we sounded like poo. haha. but hey, as long as you can usher people into a state of worship then that's all good. we practiced some more and i caught glimpses of people coming in the youth center.

hmm. yuna.

we practiced some more. oops, Janny took a bathroom break. a looooong one. i looked for him after 10 mins.

he was playing basketball. with yuna. haha. i joined them for a couple of shots and went back to business.

sean was there.

then it struck me. me + janny + sean + yuna = band. no more 2 man crappiness! we now have full band coolness!

but i still have to sing solo. but that's not a big deal. i feel that God will provide singers tomorrow. err.. later.

last night after LINKS, abi and i were planning to go some place and chill. then i thought of joining dags and wella for dinner. the more hte manier! we ate pizza at magoo's.

we went to timezone after dinner. played percussion freaks. it is the best arcade game, ever. score tied with abi 1-1 in basketball. championship game coming up soon! haha.

we parted ways and i headed to greenbelt. party time! it was michelle and carla's birthday celebration. i was a little bit lost going there but i followed my exceptionally adept driver's instinct and john's golden rule when lost, "follow the nice cars." haha. i arrived at absinth with bea, donna, carla and michelle there. highschool friends. there some batchmates as well, though i didn't know them personally. rani was there too. emer and cara followed and sarte, burns, brian, jerome, and their girlfriends followed two hours later. it was nice seeing old faces. job was there too! i think he was lost or something. haha. i drove bea and donna home.

upon arrival at home, that was already around 3:30am, the gate was locked. not to worry, i have a key! i parked the car in the garage and tried opening the inner gate. locked from the inside. i tried ringing the doorbell but no one would wake up. so i was stuck for 30 mins in the garage before i was able to open the inner gate with my mcgyver stunts. with that over with, i check the maid's quarters to see why the heck she won't wake up. she wasn't there. hahaha. she took the day off, i recently found out. now i'm in the dirty kitchen and only one locked door stands in my way before i can enter the house. a key is secretly hidden in the kitchen. finding hte key is not a problem, it's opening the door that's the problem. some one locked the aluminum screen door FROM THE INSIDE. it was 4am already and i wanted sleep so i hesitantly but firmly tugged on the aluminum door, knowing it only had a flimsy little lock. it snapped right off so easily. haha. i unlock the final door. yay!

now i'm getting ready to go to CCP for the conservatory's annual concert, Sampung mga Daliri. it's gonna be good. it always has been. seeya!

well waddaya know. yet another velentine's without a date nor any girl in mind. well, i do. of course the feeling has to be mutual for these things to work i think. unfortunately, unlike playing the piano or guitar or any instrument, you really can't practice on love. it's a one shot deal where you make or break it. everytime you fail at it, you make an irreparable dent on your soul.

some people, like me, would rather have their whole being intact.

EMO! hahahahahaha. HORMONES! PHEROMONES!

i am very tired. let me count the reasons why:

1. commuted from school to church

2. waited for my band's turn to make a run through because the other band took 99999999999999999999999 years to PRACTICE. IT WAS A RUN-THROUGH, NOT A PRACTICE SESSION. goodness. so insensitive.

3. played basketball. it has been years since i last played and it really showed as my stamina dropped like a bomb after a few minutes of playing. felt good to be doing some sort of physical activity too.

4. played with the band. i had fun.

5. practiced our backstreet boys thing. that was fun too.

6.got into a verbal argument with jonats.

7. commuted from church to home. i got home in approx 30-40 mins. the trip would usually last for an hour or more. pretty cool.

 

i hope tomorrow's events would be cooler. better rest up.

i got a heaircut by the way. cool IMO.

prom last sat was great. everyone looked beautiful. EVERYONE.

in true lazy matsu fashion, the events will be summed up in bullet points.

SATURDAY

-was too lazy to groom (shave etc) so i decided to go to prom not shaved.

-it was crazy hot during prom. i did not remember a time i was not sweating.

-i planned on changing to my "punk prom" costume so i can be cooler, both meanings of the word. hehe

-too bad we were restricted from playing "iris." they said it was about suicide and was very graphic. meh. they're the bosses. they did play "sexy love" which was OK for them. LOLOLOL. it's all good though.

-i really enjoyed playing with livingstone again. we have great group dynamics. i guess that shows how we've matured through the years. i had SO MUCH FUN.

-tim's "back alley boys" idea was a hit. cover some back street boys songs, sing it semi-badly (though we really did take time to study the voicings), act like fools, and toss in a little choreography in the mix and we have a classic comic act. haha.

-food was so-so. good enough IMO. the company and entertainment were all the things that were needed.

-i was nominated to be prom king btw. LOLOLOLOL. i looked so scruffy and i wasn't expecting anything. saki won of course. i was not surprised.

-slow dance came and and i didn't have a partner. and isang song lang. what the who? haha

-watched kit's gig afterwards. fun. i had coke. hahaha! (if we were close, you'd know why that was funny. haha)

 

SUNDAY

 

-went to 11am service. the message spoke to me. *sob*

-les told us what happened on the earlier service. panic at the disco!

-picked up dad at the airport. get this. he bought a farm with a house in it for a nifty million pesos. NOT BAD. it's 4 acres btw. this is in mindanao.

-dad drove me to the condo at UST and i went to SM to shop. i will try and cook sinigang this week.

-got back and i dunno what bit me. I CLEANED UP. as in on my hands and knees clean up. the bathroom. get this. we are 3 guys living in a studio type thing that's 20 sq meters. that's including the bathroom which is approx 3x1 meters. so imagine the filth. LOL. it felt good. tiring though.

-i cleaned up the refrigerator a bit. you see, we have onions and garlic. and they were actually sprouting already. as in they had leaves sticking out of them haha. we also had a lot of junk inside like empty bottles, wrappers, fruit and veggies that have gone bad, etc. all gone!

-i lack sleep due to the early wake up for church and prom and was dead tired after cleaning. i was down for the count at 8:30 kanina. for some reason i woke up at around 1am and couldn't sleep. so i blogged.

-i might have amoebiasis. i'll get a check up this week.
