so i gathered most of my pinhead crickets (really small, smaller than ant-size baby crickets) to be given to Tito. he once gave me some when i needed them and now that he needed them badly, i gave him some of my own. yes, i do breed my crickets now.
so i trudged off to his place after my ridiculous Rizal Class finals and some food tripping with friends. i arrived at his place at approximately 8:30pm. as usual, i was in awe at his arachnid collection. i always never fail to look at his Grammostola pulchra. it's hairy, it's black, and it's huge. google it. it's beautiful. after some talk, the topic inevitable came to that arachnid smuggling issue. it turns out that our organization, the Philippine Tarantula and Scorpion Society (PTSS), initiated a move to "rescue" the said invertebrates. this was Tito's idea. (http://www.inquirer.net/specialfeatures/theenvironmentreport/view.php?db=1&article=20071004-92593)
pretty cool.
so anyway, after much talk, he asked if i would like some scorpions because one of his just gave birth. after declining many many times (he would ask me every time i would make a purchase), i finally agreed. so i have 2 new scorplings. really lovely animals.
i'll name them Heckle and Jeckle.
i just got home now. it's 2:30am. perfect way to start the sembreak.
oh by the way, someone called my attention when i was trying to hail a jeepney. it was jandrew. haha. of all places, nagmeet pa talaga kami at 1am-2am - ish under the katipunan fly over along aurora ave. scary place and time but meeting him made it all bearable.
so just when i decided to give it my all, to just fall and leave my defenses behind, to just go with my gut, to do what my heart desires, fate steps in and takes my fun away.
she's dying right now and i have no form of communication.
ain't life grand?
just came from the beach.
i just got news that she's alright.
yay.
the day started normal. woke up at noon, had lunch, same old stuff. i texted some people to go trick or treating at gino's village, ayala heights. by 4pm i was on the road already, wearing half of my costume and my gas tank running low. went to admu to pick up sarte and jandrew. sarte texted that he was showering and i went to the shower room. he opened the locked door and i saw the black mamba. oh my. i said i was hungry so we headed to UP for some isaw. on the way, i was praying that the MMDA officers won't notice that my plate number was prohibited on the road due to coding. we passed quite a number of them but didn't take notice.
in UP, we looked for a place to get isaw. we spotted one and gave it a try. it was Mang Larry's, i think. very good isaw. i enjoyed the isaw even without vinegar. it was that good. by 6pm, we were en route to gino's already.
we wore our costumes and off we went. we were dressed as the harlem globe trotters. people were definitely looking. i'm glad they liked our costumes. we had quite a number of photo ops and interesting reactions. our most favorite costumes were really funny. more of that from jandrew (iwalkalone.tabulas.com).
by 10pm we were at mcdo katipunan and was eating and resting from a tiring day. we chilled until around midnight when it was time to head home. drove sarte to john's place and dropped jandrew en route to his place. today was definitely one worthy of memory.
